Brian led an interesting hike from Karkloof Country Club to Karkloof Falls.
It had been quite a while since the club did this hike, previously led by Mark Nellist.
After explaining the hike Brian led our group on nearly 30 participants towards the Karkloof Falls, but on the way, two keen "stone spotters" (Max and Gordon) explained and demonstrated their theories, about certain "placed stone" throughout the annals of time which was quite thought provoking although some of our group were still sceptical.

We then continued on our way to the falls through the forest and various tracks on a beautiful day.
The falls, although we have had very little rain, were still quite spectacular.
After spending time near the top falls where we had a nice rest and snacks in beautiful surroundings, we continued to the main falls and then made our way back to Karkloof Country Club where some of our group enjoyed lunch and welcome drinks.
The accompanying photos illustrate the hike.
Thanks Brian and the "stone men" Max and Gordon for an enjoyable and interesting Hike.
